Review: Voluminous False Lashes Mascara by L’Oreal

I’m always on the lookout for new mascara. The thicker the better for me! I especially love the kinds that lengthens lashes. Because of that, I was really excited to try out the L’Oreal Voluminous False Lashes. According to the adds, the mascara uses special fibers to make the lashes appear longer.

I did all of the rest of my makeup as normal and began to apply the mascara. Something about it just wasn’t right for me. Although I had just opened the bottle, the mascara itself seemed dry. It didn’t glide across my lashes like other lengthening mascara. The brush is very large and not at all curled, which made it hard to get the lashes on the inner and outer edges. I’m definitely a fan of the almost-falsh-lash look, but the “fibers” on my lashes just made the tips look messy and confused because they stuck out in all different directions.

Although I paid about $10 for the mascara, I ended up never using it again. I went back to my regular favorite mascara, Maybelline Volum’ Express The Falsies. It’s about 1/3 less the price and makes my eyelashes look gorgeous.

I would caution you to try it, but I have noticed that my eyes burn like crazy with this mascara. Great review and very pretty outfit 🙂
