New Product: Quaker Soft Baked Bars

This post brought to you by Quaker Oats. All opinions are 100% mine.

I’m an oatmeal girl. Even before my doctor suggested it to me a few years ago to keep my cholesterol down, it has been my “go to” breakfast. I don’t like cold cereal. I despise eggs. Although it only takes a few minutes to make my oatmeal, sometimes even a few minutes is too much for me. I was excited when I heard about the new Quaker Soft Baked Bar because I figured it would give me a new way to eat my oatmeal but faster and on the go.

I love foods that serve multiple purposes. I can grab one of the new bars as a breakfast snack before I drive my daughter to school or throw it in my purse to hand her when I pick her up from track practice in the afternoon. They satisfy the requirements for the three things I look for in the nutritional stats of a wholesome food: 140 calories (less than a lot of snack bars and most protein bars), 5g of fiber (something I started really watching a few years ago), and 6g of protein (great for helping you feel more full).

The Soft Baked Bars come in two different flavors:

Banana Nut Bread

Cinnamon Pecan Bread.

Although I think that I will like the Cinnamon Pecan best, I have a feeling that my family will like the Banana Nut better. I guess we will just have to try both! You can eat them as they are or warm them up in the microwave. I will definitely try them warmed up first because I do like a warm breakfast when I have the time. These are going to be great for the kids this summer to pop in the microwave themselves in the morning while they are laying around enjoying their days and I am busily working in my home office.

Check out your grocery store for the new Quaker Soft Baked Bars. Have you had a chance to try them yet? Are you an oatmeal family?
