Best New Product: Suave Dry Shampoo

September 19, 2011 By Tricia 3 Comments

I’ve tried a number of dry shampoos with okay results. Most of them worked enough to dry out my roots for about 12 hours but the ones that worked best were also the most expensive. I have pretty fine blonde hair that has to be washed every day to look decent, especially when I straighten it. And yet my hair dresser says that washing it very day is a bad idea. What to do??

I happened to see the Suave Professionals Dry Shampoo Spray at Walmart one day when I was picking up shampoo for the kids. For a little over $3 a can, I decided that I would give it a chance. I was amazed!! I followed the directions and sprayed it on my hair before I went to bed. When I woke up, I just brushed out my hair and touched it up with my flat iron. It actually looked freshly washed. And even better, it stayed that way all day.

I went to drugstore.com and read the reviews of it and were shocked that they were not very good. However, the main problem seemed to be that people said that they were only able to use their can one time before it was empty. I’ve had mine for a month now and probably use it 3 days a week. And when I use it, I really use it. Other complaints were that the scent was too strong. I actually think it’s perfect and it starts to wear off pretty quickly.

I don’t know if you would be able to see any powder on your hair if it is darker. Unlike some other spray shampoos, the Suave Professionals only comes in one color. I don’t see any residue on mine at all.

If you are either a fan of dry shampoo or have been considering trying it, I would definitely check out the new Suave Professionals Dry Shampoo Spray. For the price, even if you are disappointed, it won’t be a big waste. If it does work out for you like it has for me, you will be ecstatic at not having to wash your hair so much! You should be able to pick it up just about anywhere that you normally shop for shampoo.

Would love to hear from others who have used it.

Some dry shampoos have their residue on the hair. It is somewhat disgusting and feeling it roughens the hair. I never did try again after using one.

How about you try using Aloe Vera plant extract? It helps soothe the dryness of your hair and boosts hair growth as well. It even protects the hair.

I have been wanting to try it, as it’s a dupe something sold at Sephora. I have dark-ish hair and can use the Oscar Blandi powder, so I think it will work for me.
