Play Nickelodeon Games for Free

October 3, 2012 By Tricia Leave a Comment

If your kids are like mine, they are always hearing about new online games before I do. For once, I heard about one before they did! Monkey Quest (from Nickelodeon) is a very cool gaming site with characters that your kids are sure to recognize. Last month they were featuring SpongeBob Squarepants and this month it is the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (who would have thought that they would make a comeback?).

Like most games of this type, kids can play for free but you have to have a paid membership to access special features. At as low as $5 a month, that’s not too bad. One of the coolest things about the paid membership is that you can get guess passes to give to your friends for them to try the site as well. Kids always want to play what their friends are playing!

I had my 11-year-old daughter test out the free areas of the site especially the run 3 game to see what she thought about it. Here’s a little bit of what she had to say:

Unlike club penguin, you always know where to go in monkey quest because there is a compass that shows you what direction and how far. It’s different than other computer games we play (such as club penguin, pixie hollow, moshi monsters, etc.), because you use the keyboard instead of the mouse for just about everything you do such as moving around and collecting items. It’s basically the fact that the world of Oko is in trouble, so you need to do different quests to help save it. It’s fun getting to design and name your monkey at the beginning. To name it, they have different selected names you can choose from to make up a first and last name. Another thing I like is when you talk to other monkeys, the words come up on the screen, and there is sound of someone actually talking to you.

I have a feeling that we will be trying out the paid subscription soon. At $5 a month it is worth it to give them something new to try! Sign up for Monkey Quest for free yourself and see what you think
