Barbie and Ken Reunite at Last

February 14, 2011 By Tricia Leave a Comment

Peanut Butter and Jelly. Salt and Pepper. Barbie and Ken. Some things just go together.

However, since 2004, Barbie and Ken have not been together. If you missed that, don’t worry. But if you saw Toy Story 3, you know that they rekindled their romance. Mattel announced today that for Valentine’s Day 2011, Barbie and Ken are now officially back together. They even have a cute video that includes some Social Media references like Ken checking in on Foursquare, Barbie opening a Match.com account, and both Barbie and Ken updating their Twitter and Facebook accounts. You can check out the video below.

Personally, I’m happy that they got back together. Why do I even care? Because I’m a hopeless romantic and Barbie and Ken are just meant to be together in my book.

For those of you who are a bit more jaded, you will not be surprised to learn that Mattel is selling a limited edition Barbie and Ken “She Said Yes!” Gift Set for only $5 through February 20 on Amazon, Target.com and other sites.
