Certain things happen at my house like clockwork. Doctor and dentist appointments are caught up on during the summer to minimize missing school. Closets are cleaned fall and spring to trade out seasonal clothes. And haircuts always happen right before school starts so that the kids can update their styles before meeting new friends.

Each year it seems like my girls want something totally different. Jillian is now favoring long styles can I can barely convince her to get a trip although she needs it desperately with all of the swimming she did this summer. Cassie doesn't want to bother with her hair at all, so she favors a shorter cut almost bordering on a bob. They are at the age now where they want someone to cut and style their hair so that it looks cute and they can replicate that look on school mornings. I wouldn't touch their hair with scissors if you paid me!

If you want a great haircut for your kids (or even yourself) and are looking for a great deal, check out the Haircut Coupon-a-thon where you can get $7.99 or $9.99 haircut coupons ($9.99 in select markets). The coupon will be valid through 9/30/12. Fifteen salon brands and over 4500 locations across the U.S., Canada and Puerto Rico are participating. Some of the locations include Best Cuts, BoRics, Cool Cuts 4 Kids (participating salons only), Famous Hair Fiesta Salons, First Choice Haircutters (U.S. participating salons only), Head Start Salons, HairMasters, Holiday Hair, Island Haircutting Co., MasterCuts, Saturday's SmartStyle (located inside Walmart Supercenters), Style America, and TGF Hair Salon. Want do find one close to you?

The different salons provide a variety of services including highlights, color, perms, waxing and more. Jillian has been begging me to let her get a couple of highlights, so I think I will talk to the stylist about what options we would have for just a couple. You can also get professional haircare products to keep your hair protected and stylish until your next cut. One of the best things is that there are no appointments needed! That certainly helps with busy family schedules.

Check out the Haircut Coupon-a-thon and save your family some money while ensuring a professional, stylish cut. I especially love that if you are on a mobile device you can just touch and hold the coupon image and show it to your stylist to get the discount. How easy is that? And don't forget to use the coupon for yourself as well as the kids! Here is also a iHerb.com coupon code so you can get your kids their gummy vitamins that they can take before school everyday.

(Trouble printing coupon? Email departmentcs@regiscorp.com with the salon brand you’d like to visit and they’ll send you a coupon.)
