America’s Got Talent Auditions

January 7, 2014 By Tricia Leave a Comment

Who wants to be a star? I just received word that America’s Got Talent will be holding Season 9 auditions in Indianapolis! If you are not in Indianapolis, you can check out the full list of audition cities and dates here on the America’s Got Talent Audition site.

My daughter is going to be so incredibly excited for this opportunity!

For those in Indianapolis, auditions will be held January 25 and 26, 2014, at the Indiana Convention Center. You must register at the link above in advance.

Unlike most of the other talent shows on television, America’s Got Talent is not just about singing. In fact, they specifically say they are looking for “hopeful stars, including singers, dancers, comedians,
contortionists, impressionists, jugglers, magicians and ventriloquists.”

In addition, they do not have the age restrictions of other shows. You must be 13 or over to be able to register online, but if you are under 13 you can register on-site at the open call with your parent or legal guardian.

If you know for sure that you want to audition, I suggest going through the registration process. Even if it is too late for that, you can always show up at the audition venue and they take auditions on a first-come, first-served basis. The initial round of auditions are in front of producers, NOT celebrity judges. So don’t show up just because you hope to meet someone famous! Leave the auditions for people who truly want a spot. You only get 90 seconds, so make it count!
