AppGear Takes Gaming to a New Level

This post brought to you by RatedGamerGear.com. All opinions are 100% mine.

For the longest time, my kids were not into video games of any kid. We had multiple gaming systems but my girls just didn’t seem into them. Once they started playing with apps on our phones, however, that all changed. Now that they have a tablet, it seems that electronics have finally caught their attention. Because of that, I have been paying more attention myself to the types of games that they can play and how those games can go even beyond the tablets and phones.

Enter AppGear. Did you know that your kids can now integrate the games they are playing through their apps with actual collectible toys. It’s hard to explain, so you should check out the videos on their site. But take for instance Foam Fighters. Your child has a foam airplane that looks just like a regular toy airplane. They install the Foam Fighters app on their phone or tablet. They can then fly that plane from inside the game app and unlock missions inside the app. They can even battle friends over Wi-Fi. Or get into the Zombie craze with ZombieBurbz, where you can choose from multiple characters such as “Dad from the Avenue” or “Zombie High Student.”

Every time we see something new on our handheld devices, we ask ourselves “what next?” AppGear is what is next. It’s a fun way to integrate traditional games with apps. And with a total of 6 games due out this year, there will be something for everyone. I have a feeling these are going to be hot for the 2012 holiday shopping season!
