Stranger Danger

In light of recent news stories in our community involving our children and strangers, we thought it might be helpful if you could get connected to some resources on the topic.  It is not always easy to have conversations with our kids about difficult or scary issues.  Listed here are links to articles that specifically address "Stranger Danger".  Review them and take time to have an open discussion with your child.  Make sure that your discussion is two sided, allowing them to share their feelings with you and ensure that you allow enough time to address the issue and answer questions.

Need a resource that helps with the tougher issues like sex, violence and drugs?  This link will take you to 10 tips for talking about the tough issues.  If you are a parent of older children that probably have the stranger topic under control but who may be struggling with new issues, take a look at this site.  Talk with your children before someone else does.
