Mickey Mouse Cake Pops

Mickey Mouse Cake Pops

DisneyFamily.com is always coming up with the cutest Disney crafts and recipes. Their recent set of cake pops combines both food and craftiness. The Mickey Mouse Silhouette Cake Pops are a little tricky to get the ears on but could be used for so many different things (birthday party favors, Christmas gifts, Fish Extender gifts, etc). They are basically cake pops with candy melts used for the ears and then the whole thing dipped in chocolate.

Although their cake pop recipe involves making the cake pops the hard way (bakingĀ  cake, crumbling it, mixing it with frosting, rolling balls, then freezing the balls), I would just use my handy little cake pop maker that I got from Kohls:

Some of them look pretty difficult to decorate (like the Mr. Potato Head) but others like the Hamm might not be as hard. The full list of cake pops on their site right now includes Beaker, Stitch, Miss Piggy, Sorcerer’s Hat, Kermit the Frog, Mrs. Potts, Fozzie Bear, Mickey Mouse, Mr. Potato Head, Minnie Mouse, Hamm, Mickey Mouse Silhouette (the easiest), Winne the Pooh Hunny Pot, and Rowlf. Get all of the cake pop directions from DisneyFamily.com.
